Empirical Monthly Residency #1

Old St. Records are collaborating with one of the UK's hippest jazz acts, Empirical, to host a monthly live residency in their unique basement space.

Each month the MOBO award-winning quartet will play a two set gig with support from a range of upcoming young jazz talents, hand-picked from London conservatoires.

The band has received many awards and accolades ranging from a Jazzwise album of the year award, to the MOBO for Best Jazz Act. Most recently, they were awarded the 'Best Ensemble' prize at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards in May.

Empirical are passionate about bringing contemporary jazz to a new audience and this partnership with Old St Records is designed for exactly that. See the lads up close and personal, cutting loose in an informal setting. Not to be missed.

But that's not all – to further expand your musical horizons, specialist DJs will take to the decks afterwards until 1am.
