Time: 7-9pm
Location: 2 and 3 Romer's Alley. Sugar Loaf New York
and every friday of the month there after...

SLAM PRIZE: $200 for First Place

Anyone can attend. But be advise Poets will not be censored.
Open to the Public...
ALL AGES

Run Down:

7pm: Doors open and Poets can walk to the Sign Up list/Check in List.
It's a first come first served...
3 Rounds

7:00pm Featured Open Mic Artist

7;30pm SLAM will begin.

8:10pm or so... Second Round will begin.

8:30pm Third Round will begin

9:00pm Daniel Villegas will close out the night.

SLAM RULES: For Both Poetry Slams

3 min. time Limit
5 judges will be picked from the crowd at random. Highest and Lowest scores will be dropped. The winners of the 1st Round will advance to the Second... The winners of the Second round will advance to the third and then... The Slam Champion of the night will be recognized.
This is a Slam not an Open mic so no instruments or music or props...
Just be you and bring your work ready to rock and roll.. or SLAM and roll... With out the roll part...

Though this a slam you do not have to be a slam poet in order to compete in it.

The purpose of this event is to bring Poets, Writers and Musicians together to share their work and have a chance to win some money...

Just Cause you paid the ten dollars doesn't mean you are Guaranteed to Perform. If you are not present at the time of your name calling you will be disqualified. Your name will be called from the list. If you are not present at the time that your name is called then any remaining poets in the audience will have a chance to compete.

Poets who will be in the Slam will need to sign up in advance.
