The Dub Smugglers and Chapter 4 are joined by Earl Gateshead for an evening of top quality reggae music. All in aid of the Golden Lion Flood Recovery Fund!

No tickets for sale but you will be able to make a donation on the door. All artists/promoters are doing this free of charge so please give generously - we suggest a donation upwards of £4 :)

Earl Gateshead is the selector with Trojan Sound System, the official sound of Trojan Records.

Earl began DJing in 1979 when he played reggae records between punk bands in Brixton and was heavily influenced by the Trojan releases of the time. He went on to hold a 20 year residency at cult bar of the time – Dive Bar In China Town, where he built and installed his own sound system. Earl also held a residency at the legendary Blue Note club.

Earl Gateshead began working with Trojan Sound System in the early 2000s, and now Earl and Trojan SS tour the globe playing records from the extensive Trojan catalogue, spreading the original message from Jamaica’s golden era of Reggae music.

With a distinguished career and a fantastic attitude Earl has become a figurehead in the UK Reggae scene, known for his famous “yeah yeah” catchphrase. In 2002 he was invited to give a lecture at the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy in Sao Paulo. Earl regularly plays all over the world. He was the first reggae DJ to play at Space in Ibiza, and one of the only reggae DJs to get repeat bookings at Fabric. Earl Gateshead is a regular on the festival circuit with residencies at Outlook Festival, Rototom and Bestival. Earl has a weekly radio show on Dub Force Radio on Mondays 8-10pm.
