Shoot the Duke are an energetic acoustic duo from Southsea. Drawing inspiration from modern artists such as Jamie T, Passenger and Ed Sheeran but combining their style with older influences such as Johnny Cash. Their debut single, "Topdog", was voted top 5 by Tom Robinson on Fresh on the net in March 2014 and broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music. After winning the 'Change Tracks Battle of the Bands' in 2014, the duo finished off their first year together by releasing their 4-track EP The Blackwell Incident and took part in a tour with local folk artists Hometown Show and The Paper Trains.”
