The Growlers: Inventors of 'beach goth'
Thu, 11th April
Californian garage rock band The Growlers are bringing their ‘wandering eyes’ to London. The Growlers have a style so unique; they dub their sound ‘beach goth’. Songs from the latest album like ‘Beach Rats’ let the groovy hippie sound come through with slow rhythm guitars and heavy bass lines. Frontman Brooks Nielsen’s raspy voice makes the sound seem even more stripped down and gives the band a raw appeal to their third studio album, Hung at Heart. You can catch The Growlers in London for two days at Shackwell Arms. See our event pages for more details about their gigs on 24th April and 25th April. By Varala Maraj @VaralaMaraj Read More
