Holi One Festival Preview

Drum and Bass | Monday 7th April 2014 | Danielle

Holi One, also known as Festival of Colour’s is one of the most unique and colourful festivals around, it travels to 35 cities, with the pumping music from 60 different DJ’s in the month from July to August celebrating the beginning of Spring. Holi One, originally took place on the day of the full moon of the Phaluga month ordinated from India, after becoming so popular Holi One has traveled its way down to parts of the UK to spread some colour and culture around the country.

The special part of this festival in particular is people painting themselves with various colours and to throw colourful powder into the air to express their freedom and colour in their everyday lives. On this day of celebration it is considered that everyone is equal, and it’s no wonder why Holi One has such popular demand to travel the city to spread some peace and paint across the world.

Holi One isn’t just about it’s great taste in music and arts, it allows people to have a day of victory to celebrate who they really are and for people to come together in peace and harmony. This festival holds powerful messages that still allows those of us who want to celebrate in the festival spirit and get a little messy whilst were at it.

I for one can’t wait for Holi One, with some of the best up and coming DJ’s taking center stage to watch the colour flow. Including, Good Luck, FLORIAN KUNICKE, Hard Rock Sofa, Piloy and so many more to suit all the needs for dub heads, reggae madness and bohemian delight. The feel good festival is guaranteed to leave an impression to round up your summer perfectly. Be sure to get your self’s down there. Weather you’re in London, Nottingham or Birmingham Holi One is happening somewhere near you.

If that hasn’t convinced you enough, be sure to check out the feel good trailer for this summers hottest and brightest festival.
