Jamaica’s Finest! Watch out for newest recording artist Omi

2013 is looking to be a big year for newest Reggae/Dancehall artist Omi, fresh out of the tropical island of Jamaica; Omi is set to make a big impact in these coming months.

The young new talent is following the in the footsteps of his father Kenroy, also known as ‘Jah Ken’ a noted musician and visual artist in Jamaica. Omi is definitely doing his father proud with a number singles getting repeats on some of Jamaica’s renowned radio stations.

His single ‘Cheerleaders’ is a massive hit in Jamaica and by the looks of it will be big here in the UK, racking up a massive 529,000 views on YouTube in just a few months. His debut single ‘Standing On All Trees’ was released as a teaser record on YouTube from his yet untitled debut album.    

Omi was discovered by International musical trailblazer Clifton ‘Specialist’ Dillon, a successful producer and marketing agent for superstars Shabba Ranks and Patra, almost three years ago and is being mentored by Oufah Media and Production. With this combination Omi will is set to take the industry by storm.

His smooth vocals and fluid tone and delivery will no doubt secure his spot in the international charts. Not just a great singer and a handsome face! Omi is a prolific songwriter, inspired by stars such as John Legend and Tanya Stephens. Dealing with cultural and spiritual issues in his music, Omi is no run of the mill ordinary talent, so check out his videos, watch out for him and become a fan!
