How do you go from designing duffel bags for the Pentagon, to pioneering an entirely new category of urban lifestyle solutions? Blame it on Marc Goldman. Fresh out of college, the free-thinking, free-spirited son of EASTPAK's founder, Monte Goldman, saw an opportunity. He persuaded his dad to think beyond military and to design for college students who, like him, had outgrown the nerdy briefcases once carried around campus and were looking for something new. Mark Goldman brought a new creative vision to his father's company, taking the EASTPAK brand "out of the woods and into the city". The rest, as they say, is History.
