Baltic Bar and Restaurant Review

Wednesday 17th October 2012 | Annalisa

Right next to Southwark station, you'll find a restaurant and bar that will definitely give you a surprise. When we walked up to the restaurant it was a shock. With the curtains closed over the door, all you could see was a glow from inside. Pushing open the door, you're welcomed by the sight of a stylish bar stretching out across the room.

With a chilled vibe in the bar, we started out with cocktails and vodka. Baltic Bar boasts one of the best ranges of cocktails and flavoured vodkas I personally have ever seen before. We were particularly impressed with their strawberry flavoured vodka and the vodka daisy.

After a drink or two, we headed through into the main room at the back of the bar. A vibrant, buzzing atmosphere in a really open plan setting.

The menu offers a wide range of Eastern European food. While being new to the food style, we were all very impressed with what was on offer. Bread was offered readily by the staff who were extremely attentive throughout the night, giving recommendations that were greatly appreciated as well as providing useful insights into the menu and side orders.

The food itself was great and they weren't stingy on the portions. We all left very contented and full. A lovely meal, great atmosphere and stylish surroundings... What more could you want?

I would definitely recomend The Baltic Bar and Restaurant to anyone, especially if they're looking for something a little bit different from your average meal out.
