Solange, Julia and Oroma are the New It Girls
Julia Sarr-Jamois is another fashionista who is consistently featured in blogs, vlogs and e-magazines, she is a 23-year-old fashion editor for W magazine, a model and a muse. She recently strutted her stuff at the Alberta Ferreti show in Milan and is featured in the new Tibi spring/summer campaign. Coming out of South London, Julia’s style is totally unexpected. Her style is chic with a funky twist, often wearing vivid colours, patterns and old Hollywood sunglasses - all at the same time. You can catch her front row at every major fashion show in London, Paris, Milan and New York - the ones she doesn’t walk in, anyway.
Nigerian-born, New York-based editor Oroma Elawa is another rising fashion icon. Not only is she the editor for Pop Africana, a magazine she started on her own having no prior experience in publishing or journalism, she is also a model and a style star. Oroma’s style is a little risqué, bold and zippy. Not afraid of wild patterns, Oroma likes to mix African prints with European cuts.
These three young fashionistas have taken the fashion sphere by storm. Not only with their punchy sense of style, but also with their incredible achievements and extensive following. Solange, Julia and Oroma, are the new trendsetters in town.
