Recently, deep house has undoubtedly become the sound of choice in many of the world’s major clubbing establishment. From Ibiza to Miami and beyond, the pace has slowed, the vocals have returned and people have started to get a little more cerebral about the music to which they choose to throw their various shapes.

Nowhere has this change been more apparent than in the UK’s capital. Boasting arguably the most influential and varied clubbing landscape in the world, London has been instrumental in the re-popularisation of deep house over the last few years. In celebration of this fact, we’re bringing together one of the original pioneers of the scene in Osunlade with one of its current stars, Noir, as well as Italian duo Supernova.

Not forgetting where it all began however we’ve also dedicated an entire room to house music’s original incarnation, with Dimitri From Paris proudly flying the disco flag alongside Defected founder Simon Dunmore.

A multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, DJ, painter, photographer and more, Osunlade is an artist in the truest possible sense of the word. His 2011 artist album Pyrography was received positively across the board and spawned one the biggest house records of the year in ‘Envision’. A DJ set from Osunlade is a rare event, and one that once experienced is never forgotten. Defected will shortly be releasing Osunlade In The House, and this event will serve as a preview for that landmark mix.

Warming up the Box for Osunlade will be Noir; DJ, producer and label owner who also had a profound influence on the club landscape of 2011. The Solomun remix of his track with Noir ‘Around’ was arguably the most-loved remix of the year, and recent releases on Noir Music from Larse and Hollis P Monroe (Remixes) as well as his mix for Defected In The House Miami ’12 have proved his musical ear beyond any doubt.


While the Box goes deep, the 103 heads into disco territory, as the legendary Dimitri From Paris is joined by Defected founder Simon Dunmore for night of house history.

Dimitri From Paris is the extraordinary French DJ, producer, remixer and vinyl junkie recognized for his inimitable disco meets dance music style. Dimitri’s musical knowledge is second to none, and his performance last time he played at Ministry of Sound was simply jaw-dropping. This time around, he’ll be behind the decks for an extended three hour session, and with Simon Dunmore in tow expect the kind of musical education sure to put a smile on your face.
