Angel Plus Special Guests

R&B and Pop’s newest sensation Angel (aka Sirach Charles) has announced that he will headline Scala on October 25th 2012. This follows an incredible week which has seen debut single ‘Wonderful’ storm the UK charts top 20 and sit comfortably at #15 in iTunes, all of which occurring prior to playlist inclusion on Radio 1 and three weeks ahead of impact date.

Recent performances include Wireless Festival, Brixton Academy alongside Outkast’s Big Boi and a momentous opening set in the ring moments before the highly anticipated Haye v Chisora fight. Stepping up from a tour support slot with Dappy and 3 headline shows at intimate venues (that sold out within hours of being announced), the Scala gig will see Angel accompanied by his full band to deliver a show stopping performance. He will be playing favourites from past mixtapes and EP’s such as the ‘7Minutes Before Time' mixtape and ‘Go in, Go Hard’ EP, alongside new smash ‘Wonderful’ and new music from the upcoming debut album entitled ‘About Time’, which will feature Frank Ocean, Michael Kiwanuka and Wretch 32 among others.

At just 24 years old and hailing from Shepherd’s Bush, this young Londoner has made the rise from underground producer and songwriter to R&B Renaissance man within one year. Having previously penned hits for the likes of Pixie Lott, Jason Derulo and Roll Deep, Angel is set to make his mark as an artist his own right and has quickly become the name on everyone’s lips. Earmarked as a one to watch in 2012 by MTV and HMV, Angel has been dubbed by The Guardian as ‘Britain’s first all singing, all writing and producing urban boy wonder’, while Radio 1 crowned him ‘the new face of UK R&B’. Angel has also garnered a number of notable fans ranging from Cheryl Cole and Ed Sheeran through to Rio Ferdinand and Tinie Tempah, whilst his online presence continues to grow rapidly, with over 5.5 million + combined video views.
