Black Books is a 5-piece southern indie rock band formed in Austin, Texas USA at the end of 2010. The band consists of Ross Gilfillan (vocals/drums), Meg Gilfillan (keyboards), Clarke Curtis (keyboards/synths), Kevin Butler (guitar), and Mike Parker (bass). Their first release, an introduction to…, was released February 15th, 2011 and distributed by Shifting Sounds. Their second EP and debut album will be self-released in North America and released by the European label Believe Recordings elsewhere early 2013.
