Brighton Music Conference reveals technology showcases

House | Friday 1st May 2015 | Annalisa

The master classes, panels and talks are a key part of Brighton Music Conference, and the tech brands that will be showcased this year include the likes of Ableton, Novation, Native Instruments, Pioneer DJ, Vicoutics, and Audio Technica Novation.

With a show floor of 60 exhibitors and a host of exclusive tech and artist showcases, BMC also features some of the biggest names in DJ and professional audio equipment, including Allen & Heath, Numark, Pioneer DJ, Denon and Roland, and a host of other music businesses with expertise from education - BIMM, Point Blank London and Northbrook College - to royalty collection and legal advice from PRSforMusic.

Taking Inspiration from Dennis DeSantis’s recent book “Making Music - 74 Creative Strategies for Electronic Music Producers”, Ableton presents a series of seminars that aim to inspire and inform music producers of all levels, from beginner to pro. Dennis DeSantis will be there to host an Ableton panel alongside Evil Nine, Alex Banks and Max Wheeler.

Novation is bringing a UK exclusive to BMC this year – the first chance to get hands-on with the new Launchpad Pro. Novation will also hold an intimate tech showcase with Paul Hartnoll, formerly half of pioneering electronic dance music duo, Orbital. BMC pass holders will also be able to get their hands on Stems, a new multi-track audio format from Native Instruments, which allows DJs and live performers to incorporate individual parts of a track in their sets.

Audio Labs will be giving attendees the chance to experience Rekord Buddy 2.0, the revolutionary system for professional DJs, and Steinberg will be showing the latest DAW Cubase 8 Pro, as well as their range of UR audio interfaces and virtual instruments.

These are just some of the tech delights that will be on display at BMC this year. For the full list of exhibitors and all the latest conference info, just head to the BMC website
