Turn up your speakers, Tyke's dropped us a HUGE playlist

Drum and Bass | Tuesday 25th October 2016 | Arren

Nu:Skool jump up head Tyke has dropped us a sick playlist.

Tyke is a leading player in modern jump up drum & bass. He signed up exclusively to Hype's Playaz in 2013 after a string of big tunes were picked up by the scene's best. Whilst with Playaz he's sorted 5 EP's, all of which have validated his position as one of the scenes most progressive forces.

His latest work, the Dream Catcher EP dropped yesterday and perfectly sums up his style. Taking influence from all over the place it's an 8 tracked EP that's full of good vibes, stinking basslines and that cheeky edge he pulls off so well.

With the release of such a good EP, we got him to sort his top 5 tracks right now - turn your speakers up cos these are rude!

Potential Badboy - Revolution (Tyke Remix)

"This one means a lot as its a remix of mine that i done for a good friend, I don't normally do remixes but this accidentally fell in place and the reaction it gets even now is astonishing and one which has opened my eyes to working with vocalists more."

Basstripper & Dangerous - Best Intentions

"I like these guys - their new, fresh! The groove on this is what does it for me. It's 2016 jump up and a sound which is going places and I think these 2 have all the right ingredients to smash it!"

Mean Teeth - Leviathan

"I don't know much about these guys, but this track is really inspiring in the sense that its something I can easily listen from start to end. I don't get that anymore with dnb these days, normally I just jump straight to the drop. But this really tells a story from beginning to end for me and evokes emotion - something which I rarely find in anything these days."

Taxman - Nightshade (Upgrade Remix)

"What can I say about this; weighty but clean, groovy but erratic. Very catchy and as a producer myself I really like the mix and roundness of this one. Always kills a dance."

Sub Killaz - Shock Out

"Another tear out 2016 jump up tune which I've been lucky enough to play for some time. I love playing something softer before drawing for this. When the bass comes in you have no other option than to nod your head rapidly and frantically!"
