Eatbrain got a powerful message from Gancher & Ruin.
If you like your hardcore neurofunk beats, tinny industrial sounds and more energy than double dropping pills then Eatbrain's latest EP from the Russian duo Gancher & Ruin is for you.
Hailing from St Petersberg, these identical twins emerged into the scene around 2003. By 2007 they were releasing their own music and quickly got themselves signed up to several labels. They've also become regulars on the European drum & bass events circuit and even run their own two events in their home city.
The pair have followed up from their album last year with a killer 4 tracks that are ready and primed for the floor. They walk on the dark and dirty side and leave an impressive mark on Eatbrain's explosive back catologue. They squish together the tried and tested formula of heavy beats and sci-fi themes in perfect form. With three originals and an appearance from label head Jade, it's an EP that won't let you neurofunk heads down. They have forcibly cemented the pair on Eatbrain's growing artist roster.
