The tunes that changed Segment & Concept Vision's lives.
This Russian duo have just dropped a huge EP on neurofunk giant Eatbrain. It's a tech fueled package that's ready and waiting to destroy clubs everywhere. It's their first solo outing on the European label and they've made sure they've left their mark with their masterclass of hard neurofunk madness.
Mammoth by name - mammoth by nature, it's four murderous tracks. 'Charge' they've described as 'a storm of emotions', the emotions being lost and confused followed by pumped up and aggressive. A fast paced energy jab, it's precision drums and bombing bass stabs will see the place jumping with little to no effort. Getting a little more galactic is 'Radiant', the boys explaining it as a 'cosmic track that brings you through the region of the celestial sphere'. By that they mean a hell of a fast and bumpy ride! The title track 'Mammoth' looks to our pre-historic past for influence a time Segment and Concept Vision explain was 'the days of the huge prehistoric monsters that only thought about how to hunt and devour their prey!' It's a large, unforgiving record that even they know is 'the heaviest and darkest track off the EP'. Rounding off this epic set of tracks is 'Heist'. A sly record that is 'tense, quick, makes you move'. Sirens are used to great effect before the fat bassline thunders down with the consistent drum pattern, a sure club shaker.

Hard edged, full of energy - the Mammoth EP is a massive release , though did we expect much less from Eatbrain? To celebrate their debut EP on the label the pair have given us their top 10 life changing tunes. It's a sick list of music from some incredible names. When their taking influence from these guys is no wonder why their productions are so tight.
