New Chris Brown Single to feature never-before-heard Aaliyah vocals

RnB/Hip Hop | Friday 17th May 2013 | Daniella

Recent dramas with Rihanna and Drake aside, Chris Brown has revealed that new single, called ‘They don’t know’, will feature never-before-heard vocals from Aaliyah.

The late star, who tragically died on 25 August 2001 in a plane crash, will make a posthumous appearance on Brown’s new track, which will feature on forthcoming album ‘X’, to be released on July 15.

Brezzy confirmed the details during a BET Awards 2013 press conference, stating that he dedicated the song to all his fans;

"This song features Aaliyah. And never-before-heard vocals. All new stuff that's never been heard before. So I got something special for my fans, it's called 'They Don't know.' So I shot it in the hood."

The 24-year-old singer also revealed that Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams and Timberland will also feature on ‘X’. The album is Brown’s sixth studio effort and judging from the collaborations and singles already released, the album is set to be massive this summer.

Breezy isn’t the only current artist to feature Aaliyah vocals on a track. Known rival, Drake, previously used the late star’s vocals on his single ‘Enough Said’. Lets hope this doesn’t cause another disagreement between the pair!
