The nostalgic, sultry tones of Lana del Rey have been subject of much remix interpretation in recent months, yet few have truly captured the essence of her songs with profound creativity. Asadinho's remix of 'Summertime Sadness' has already been acclaimed by some early listeners as the most refined use of her voice in a remix to date. The remixes have enjoyed advance support from legends as diverse as Seth Troxler, M.A.N.D.Y., Aeroplane, DJ T, Mark Farina, The Glimmers, Nic Fanciulli, Colin Dale, The Magician, Alex Gopher, Three, Mousse T, Silicone Soul, Q-Burns, Brothers’ Vibe and many more. This package features all four versions of Asadinho’s remixes on RvS Music.
Having recently relaunched and rebranded the former Reverberations imprint to RvS Music, London’s Asadinho is no stranger to the scene. During his 17 years in the industry, he has to date sold over 100,000 units of his work under different names, DJed in over 40 countries to crowds of up to 20,000, and received numerous accolades in magazines such as Mixmag, DJ The Face and the late Jockeyslut. As with his own productions, these remixes straddle the lines between the modern and the classic, recontextualising the vocal to a completely fresh backing track. Maintaining the sublime darkness of the original, the remixes are both organic and cutting-edge in equal measure.
