Gentleman's Dub Club to perform in London on 20th November

Reggae | Thursday 11th October 2012 | Laura

The British Reggae-rock Dub band will present their new EP ‘Open Your Eyes’ in Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen.

Gentleman’s Dub Club are to present their long-awaited 2nd EP in London following its release earlier this year on Ranking Records, which comes after 2009’s Members Only in 2009. ‘Open Your Eyes’ is a collection of original songs which reflects the first years of GDC. The title track showcases an intimate lover's vibe thanks to layered back guitars and deep colourful bass notes, always led by the singer Johnny Scratchley’s tender voice. The track ‘Chronicles’ gets more ska, portraying a big night out and ‘Run’ shows GDC roots, with amazing energy and musicality with high-octane steppas dub. It also contains the fan’s favourite ‘High Grade’ and 'Tough At The Top' – where world famous Grime MC, P Money throws powerful verses.

The band built a successful career by touring with artists such as Roots Manuva, The Streets, The Wailers and Finlay Quaye, and playing in festivals throughout the UK including Latitude Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Bestival, V Festival and at the biggest bass-music festival in the world, Outlook Festival, held in Croatia.

The party will start at 8.30 in Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen. Don’t miss it!
