Ora to take inspiration from Chris Martin

At a mere 18 she was signed on to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label with high hopes, and three years later the Kosovo born siren has been invading the charts with her singles “R.I.P” and “`Hot Right Now”

Rita Ora has been taken under dedicated mentor Jay-Z’s wings but not without lots of advice and harsh criticisms! The 21 year old has mentioned to Complex Magazine in her interview that Jay Z is not at all a mild character when it comes to instruction.

She stated, “Three years later and I’m only just starting to come out, I wanted to release every single thing I had ever recorded, but I was lucky enough to have someone like Jay saying: ‘This is not good enough. You have to find yourself.’ That’s the best advice he could have given me.”

In another interview she told GQ Magazine, “The best advice he gave me was, ‘Have you seen Chris Martin perform? You know it’s literally just him on stage? And he just rocks it out.’…Jay told me, ‘You don’t need dancers and stuff around you.’”

With her trademark tousled blond curls and enviable red lips, the singer has had a whirlwind career so far; she has already opened for Coldplay during their spring tour through Europe and unquestionably deserved the roaring cheers from the eager crowds of fans.

Rita admits to being a long time fan of Coldplay, “I was lucky enough to meet Chris through Jay in the States and I’ve asked him millions of times how he did it and he tells me its just a lot of work!” she said in another interview.

The “Paradise” singer Chris Martin soared to fame in 2000 with Coldplay’s debut album, Parachutes. He has been known to give riveting performances without the use of any unnecessary effects and dancers. Clearly noticed by music mogul Jay-Z he has strongly advised Rita to learn from his stage presence and performance skills.

Rita is scheduled to perform at Jay-Z’s “Made in America Festival” in Philadelphia in early September and is studying hard to pull off yet another show stopping performance!
