Frank Oceans Little Outing
One has to consider the difficulty of being a sexy soul singer in the world of hip hop gangs. Ok doesn’t sound so difficult, but what if you we’re in this world and you we’re gay?
Well that’s exactly whats happened with frank ocean, he is tremendously popular with features with artists such as jay z, kanye west and nas, aswell as being part of the ODD FUTURE gang. His mixtape has received critical acclaim and amongst the crowds has one of the sexiest voices in hip hop!
Now this week theres, the guardian, bbc and a majority of major amercian broadcast station releasing the groundbreaking news that frank oceans first love was actually male and his admission of this has completely changed the attitude of people. On July 4, 2012, Ocean published an open letter on his Tumblr blog revealing that he had fallen in love with a 19-year-old man in the summer of 2007 (when Ocean was also 19). He used the blog to thank the man for his influence, and also thanked his mother and other friends, saying "I don't know what happens now, and that's alrite [sic]. I don't have any secrets I need kept anymore...I feel like a free man."In response, his friend Tyler, The Creator tweeted his support for Ocean, and business magnate Russell Simmons wrote a short congratulatory article in Global Grind saying "Today is a big day for hip-hop. It is a day that will define who we really are. How compassionate will we be? How loving can we be? How inclusive are we? [...] Your decision to go public about your sexual orientation gives hope and light to so many young people still living in fear.
I think that it is all pretty amazing that he had so much courage, I forgive you for lieing to us and making girls think they could become your groupies. I had such high hopes for our children, but atleast now I have an excuse.
So much love for Frank Ocean still his debut album will drop out in October this year watch out!
